How preventcancer.crosscare handles your account, health-related information and video consultations.
When you create a patient account, we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text — WordPress's standard hashing handles this). When you book a consultation, we collect the service you selected and any notes you choose to share, which may include health-related information such as diagnosis history, family history or references to existing test reports.
Your account and booking information is used to match you with a specialist, confirm and schedule your consultation, generate your private video consultation room, and keep a record of your consultation history so you and your specialist can refer back to it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Video sessions run through a private, uniquely generated room linked only to your specific consultation. Only you and the specialist assigned to your case can access that room. We do not record video consultations by default.
Your booking notes and consultation history are visible to you and to the specialist assigned to your case. Our team may access account records for support, scheduling and quality purposes. We do not share your information with third parties except where required to operate the service (such as our hosting provider) or where required by law.
We retain your account and consultation records for as long as your account is active, so you have continued access to your consultation history. You can request deletion of your account and associated records at any time by contacting us.
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and records, by emailing us at the address below.
